Set up and stock station as required./liliSmile, greet and focus on customers when approaching their table; Introduce oneself and inform guests of any specials or menu changes;/liliOffer and serve cocktails or beverages; Apply active listening skills as they state their order./liliInquire as to whether or not any guests have food allergies that the Chef/kitchen team should be aware of./liliBe fully knowledgeable of menu offerings and be prepared to accurately answer questions, such as where food products come from, how food is prepared, tastes and textures, etc./liliMake specific beverage, appetizer, entre, and dessert recommendations based on personal preferences and experiences with other guests./liliAnswer questions regarding wine list, where wines come from, the vintage, suggested food pairings, aromas and flavors, etc./liliFollow all state and local guidelines for responsible alcoholic beverage service; Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for consumption of alcohol./liliIncorporate suggestive selling or up-selling techniques, as appropriate; Verbally confirm order back to customer to ensure accuracy./liliProcess orders in the proper sequence by accurately entering into POS./liliInform culinary staff in a timely and accurate manner when special requests are received./liliReceive and prepare food and beverage items for delivery to customer; Check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing and consistent./liliAnticipate guests needs; Ensure that all necessary condiments and accompaniments are provided./liliWhen items are received by customer, monitor to ensure their satisfaction; Continuously check back and respond to any additional requests./liliPrepare final bill and present check to guest; Accept payment and process credit card charges or make change (if applicable)./liliThank guests for their visit and invite them to return./liliCall on assistance of manager in instances of customer dissatisfaction./liliPerform opening and/or closing side work according to established checklists./li/ulpMajor Responsibility: Contribute to CRGs goal of 100% guest satisfaction through teamwork and personal commitment./ppSupporting Actions:/pulliFollow all CRG uniform and grooming standards./liliAttend pre-shift or pre-event check-in meetings and follow instructions from managers and supervisors; Wipe surfaces, remove trash and debris, etc./liliMaintain station with service items such as ice, napkins and eating utensils if applicable./liliFollow all CRGs practices for safe food handling and proper hygiene, including wearing gloves, keeping hair tied back, hand washing, cross-contamination, etc.; Perform duties in accordance with ServSafe guidelines./liliComply with established CRGs standards for safe usage and maintenance of food service equipment; Report any malfunctions immediately to manager./liliWash and dry hands frequently./liliUtilize box cutters for opening boxes./liliUtilize proper lifting procedures; Utilize a hand truck or cart to transport large items and ask for assistance when necessary./liliDo not move too quickly or run through front or back of house areas./liliMove cautiously near corners and when carrying things; Report any blind corners, problem floor surfaces, or hazardous areas./li/ulpMajor Responsibility: Process sales transactions according to CRGs standards./ppSupporting Actions:/pulliLearn and utilize operational procedures for POS system and register to efficiently process customer purchases./liliFollow all guidelines for collecting payment, including credit card transactions and proper cash handling./liliVerify authenticity of large bills; Verbally count change back to customer./liliWork with manager to perform refunds and voids in accordance with CRGs policies./liliContinuously verify register drawer to maintain proper balances at all times./liliPrepare cash and receipts for Supervisor/Manager to review; Prepare drops as necessary./li/ulpJob Qualifications/Skills/ppRequired:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent./liliTABC certified/lili21 years of age or older/liliDemonstrated ability to understand and effectively implement written and verbal instructions./liliStrong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned tasks./liliAbility to perform simple mathematical calculations, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division./liliAbility to utilize a calculator, change counters and manually count and accurately make change for transactions involving large sums of money./liliAbility to work well independently./liliAbility to work well in a high stress, fast paced environment./liliMust be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used by guests who typically visit the work location./liliTechnology aptitude for working with POS and digital register./liliStrong skills for providing guest service with keen ability to connect easily with customers./liliScheduling flexibility to meet operational needs.
