Chief Investment Officer

Position: Chief Investment Officer / SVP, Capital Markets Location: United States Confidential Renewable Energy Platform Overview A leading, growth-oriented renewable energy platform is seeking a senior investment and capital markets leader to drive financing strategy, capital formation, and portfolio optimization across Community & Distributed energy assets. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the company’s capital strategy and supporting continued expansion across development and operating assets. Key Responsibilities Lead all capital markets activities, including debt, tax equity, and structured finance transactions across a diversified renewable portfolio Develop and execute corporate and project-level financing strategies aligned with growth objectives Manage relationships with banks, institutional investors, tax equity providers, and other capital partners Oversee financial structuring, pricing, and execution of complex transactions Partner closely with executive leadership on strategic planning, capital allocation, and M&A initiatives Drive portfolio-level optimization, including refinancing, recapitalizations, and liquidity strategies Build and lead a high-performing capital markets and investment team Support investor communications, reporting, and fundraising efforts as needed Monitor market trends and proactively position the platform to capitalize on evolving financing opportunities Qualifications 12–20+ years of experience in renewable energy finance, infrastructure investing, or capital markets Deep expertise in project finance, tax equity, and structured transactions within energy or infrastructure Proven track record leading and closing complex, large-scale financings Strong relationships across lenders, investors, and financial institutions Experience operating at a senior leadership level within a developer, IPP, infrastructure fund, or financial institution Strategic mindset with the ability to operate both at a high level and in execution detail Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams Preferred Background Experience across solar, storage, and/or broader energy transition sectors Exposure to both development-stage and operating asset financing Prior experience in a high-growth or entrepreneurial environment Compensation Competitive base salary, bonus, and long-term incentive structure Significant opportunity for value creation participation #J-18808-Ljbffr
