At Chattanooga Family Chiropractic, we know the body was created to heal itself, and every single day, we get a front-row seat to watch it happen. We are a high energy, warm clinic where our practice members and patients are treated like family, and we are looking for someone who fits right into that culture. And we are looking for a warm, energetic, detail-oriented person to be the first face and voice our patients experience, someone who takes full ownership of the front desk and the flow of our clinic so every patient feels cared for from the moment they call or walk in.

This is not a sit behind a desk kind of role. We are a health center, not a typical medical office, and this position moves. You will be on your feet, moving through the space, guiding patients from the waiting room to the right area, communicating with the clinical team in real time, and keeping the whole day flowing smoothly, all while managing the phones and the schedule.

Because of the number of people we serve, there are a lot of moving parts. This role requires someone who can learn independently, work through training videos and training calls, and take comprehensive notes and checklists to keep everything running smoothly.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Patient flow: actively moving through the clinic to guide patients between the waiting room, adjustment areas, and other stations, keeping the day moving without bottlenecks
• Patient scheduling: booking, confirming, and adjusting appointments to keep the day running smoothly
• Phones and email: answering calls, responding to messages, and following up with patients promptly, often while on the move
• Patient experience: greeting patients warmly, managing check in and check out, and keeping wait times low
• Real time coordination with the doctor and clinical team so the schedule and the room flow stay in sync
• Opening and closing duties for clinic hours: getting the office patient ready before doors open and properly closed down at the end of the day
• Front office standards: keeping the lobby, front desk, and patient facing areas clean, organized, and welcoming
• Patient reminders and follow up: helping patients stay on track with their care plans and appointments
• Learning and training: completing training videos and calls independently, and keeping comprehensive notes and checklists to manage the many moving parts of a high volume clinic

WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR

• You have energy and stamina. You are comfortable being on your feet and moving throughout your shift, not sitting behind a desk all day
• You are organized and can juggle a ringing phone, a full waiting room, and a schedule change without missing a beat

• You are a self-directed learner who can work through training videos and calls, then take clear, comprehensive notes and build checklists to keep yourself on track
• You are dependable and consistent, patients and teammates can count on you
• You understand that the front desk sets the tone for a patient's entire experience, and you take that seriously
• You want to be part of a high energy, warm team where patients feel like family

THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT FIT IF

• You are looking for a traditional, seated front desk role with minimal movement
• You need constant direction and hand holding to stay on task
• You get flustered easily in a fast paced, high volume environment
• You struggle to learn independently from training materials or take your own notes
• You are not comfortable on the phone or with in person conversations

SCHEDULE

This is a part time position, roughly 25 to 30 hours per week. Below is an example of the schedule in the office for this position:

• Monday: 7:00am to 11:30am and 2:00pm to 6:30pm
• Tuesday: 12:00pm to 6:00pm
• Wednesday: 7:00am to 11:00am and 12:00pm to 3:30pm
• Thursday: 12:00pm to 6:00pm
• Friday: 10:00am to 11:30am** this hour and a half may be moved to another day depending on the week and patient needs.

We are looking for someone long-term, which means that the longer you are with us the more benefits we will look to offer even at part-time.
