Litigation Secretary

Location: Cerritos, CA (Fully Onsite)
Salary Range: $92,000 - $98,000 annually

LHH is partnering with a respected California-based law firm to identify an experienced Legal Secretary for its Cerritos office. This role supports litigation attorneys in a fast-paced environment and offers the opportunity to work with a well-established firm known for its collaborative culture and strong support infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and court filings
• Manage state and federal e-filings and support litigation matters from inception through trial
• Maintain attorney calendars, monitor deadlines, and coordinate meetings and appointments
• Prepare hearing, trial, arbitration, mediation, and deposition materials
• Create and update Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities
• Open new matters and assist with client intake procedures
• Coordinate travel arrangements and other administrative support tasks
• Provide backup support to attorneys and legal staff as needed
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of litigation legal secretary experience
• Strong knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures
• Experience with calendaring, deadline management, and litigation support
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with document management systems; iManage experience preferred
• Exceptional organizational, proofreading, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Work Environment

• Fully onsite position in Cerritos, CA
• Regular use of office technology and legal software
• Ability to lift and carry files, supplies, and materials up to 25 pounds
