Our engineers, designers, and strategists cut through complexity to create intuitive products and services that equip federal agencies with solutions to courageously transform today for a better tomorrow.We're seeking a passionate Director, Chief Solutions Architect who will play a pivotal role in supporting our business development and capture teams, specializing in crafting technical and business solutions for opportunities and pursuits specific to Defense and National Security missions. This role demands hands-on business and technical solutioning, proposal writing, and maintaining up-to-date awareness of digital trends. The ideal candidate will define problem statements, collect program challenges, and develop the best solution by facilitating discussion and collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external partners.Responsibilities:Lead the development of innovative and effective solutions that are both compliant and compelling, based on your analysis of customer RFP requirements, for mid to large-size programs across Defense and Homeland Security missions.Leverage deep experience in the business operations and systems integration within Defense and Homeland Security to develop opportunity needs/pain points, expected outcomes/impacts/benefits, and solutions. Develop winning solutions including innovative business operations, services, features, and/or technologies.Collaborate with cross-functional team members including product, HCD, engineering, data science, and solution strategy leaders to provide comprehensive agile solutions including the analysis, design, development and operation of enterprise systems and services.As the technical volume/solution contributor, owning the systems design for all program features, develop technical narrative (strategies) responses, linked to business value, for market surveys, RFIs, RFPs (SOO etc.), and white papers to present your solution and position it as a winning value proposition.Create detailed technical designs and strategies, make informed decisions on product and vendor selection, and develop applications, data, and detailed technical architectures. Lead/Own proposal writing for technical sections where you describe our proposed technical solutions and services / features for Data Analytics, AI/ML, Data Exchange / Data Pipeline, Application Development, and API implementation.Act as a hands-on solution architect, being the final-tier SME for designated responsible areas, ensuring that our solutions are feasible, practical, and innovative.Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), CTO and technical leads, and partners to refine and improve solutions, ensuring they align with client needs and our strategic objectives.Collaborate with business/price volume owner(s), senior leadership and the business development department, to strategize, write/contribute, and develop proposals that drive business growth and meet the needs of our government clients.Work closely with key stakeholders, industry partners, and decision-makers to optimize IT governance and decision-making processes, adapting as the business context and technological landscape evolve.Stay updated on emerging digital and business trends. Collaborate with other business leaders to integrate digital opportunities into our business strategy, ensuring we remain at the forefront of technological advancements.Participate in strategic customer meetings to develop adequate customer and business understanding along with a baseline relationship of customer intimacy for essential growth opportunities.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. With 5 additional years of industry related experience, a degree is not required.15+ years of total work experience10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, designing and architecting (minimum of 3+ categories): large cloud scale applications, data-centric engineering, cloud engineering (AWS, GCP, or Azure), AI/ML, and/or DevSecOps solutions.10+ years of experience taking disparate business problems and delivering the best technology solutions for large scale government cloud solutions5+ years of experience in solution architecture, with a proven track record of supporting government agency pursuits, especially in DoD or DHS.An advocate in modern product development with agile, HCD, DevSecOps automation. Possess a curiosity and always challenge the status quos to deliver innovative approach and solutions to the government and end users.Experience collaborating with customers and stakeholders to present solutions to the user/stakeholder community and gain user adoptionExceptional written and verbal communication skills.Proven capability in proposal writing and development for government agencies.Desired Qualifications:Cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Engineering DevSecOps and/or SAFe CertificationsWorking Environment:eSimplicity supports a hybrid work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by your manager.Occasional travel for training and project meetings.
