Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Morning Tech Center Patrol in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, building exteriors, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access concerns or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and documenting relevant details.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic technology environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
