Role Description The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Day-to-day tasks include conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals. The role involves providing education to patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies and communication supports, as well as participating in interdisciplinary care meetings and quality improvement initiatives. This is a per diem/part time, on-site role based at GROSSMONT GARDENS HEALTH CARE CENTER in La Mesa, CA. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Speech Therapy and assessment of Speech disorders. Experience working with Communication Disorders and Language Disorders across diverse patient populations. Clinical skills in managing Dysphagia, including evaluation and treatment of swallowing disorders. Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; CFs may be considered with appropriate supervision. Ability to develop evidence-based treatment plans, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and use electronic health record systems. Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team and with patients and families. Experience in hospital, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings is beneficial; bilingual skills are a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
