About the Position

Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Oncology Registered Nurse – Alaska

Schedule: 3x12 Night Shift, 60 guaranteed hours per 2-week period (may be called off for one 12-hour shift per 2 weeks), weekend coverage based on staffing needs

• Medical-Surgical / Oncology unit with 46 beds and a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Must have chemotherapy administration experience including IV push, continuous infusion, and management of ports
• Epic charting system in a state-of-the-art acute care setting with comprehensive interdisciplinary support
• 24 hours of orientation provided; may float to similar units within scope of practice
• Free parking and scrubs provided

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license in hand (or ability to complete license application within 48 hours of signing, including fingerprints and application fee)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current BLS and ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification
• Demonstrated competency in chemotherapy administration, port management, IV therapy, and oncology patient care
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check required

Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Flexibility and willingness to float to similar units are essential to assignment success.
