About the Position

Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Oncology RN – Alaska

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Alaska

Schedule: 3x12 variable shifts with weekend coverage as needed. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period. Float to similar units as required to meet facility needs.

Highlights:

• 13-week assignment at a 407-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center
• Chemotherapy administration required; must hold or obtain ONS/ONCC certification
• 5:1 patient ratio caring for adult and geriatric oncology populations
• Epic charting system with 24 hours of paid orientation
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Free parking and scrubs provided

Requirements:

• Current Alaska RN license or compact license (pending licenses accepted but must be in hand for final offer; application must be completed within 48 hours of signing)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Current BLS and ONS/ONCC (Chemotherapy) certifications required
• Demonstrated chemotherapy administration experience including port management, IV push/continuous infusion, and cytotoxic safety protocols
• Experience with oncology patient care including administration of blood products, symptom management, and patient/family education
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years required
