Welding Quality Control

Our client, a leader in advanced manufacturing and quality assurance, is seeking a Weld Technician Examiner to join their team. As a Weld Technician Examiner, you will be part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting the production of ultra high purity systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a proactive approach to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Weld Technician Examiner Location: San Luis Obispo, CA Pay Range: $24-$25 + 10% differential for all hours worked on the 2nd shift. Shift: Wednesday – Sunday, 2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm) What's the Job? Perform visual inspection of weld components used in ultra high purity systems to ensure compliance with ASME B31.3 standards. Review and document weld exam reports accurately and upload them into shared folders. Utilize SAP to print drawings and parts lists, supporting the production process. Inspect welded tubing and components ranging from 1/8” to 6” in diameter using proper tools and equipment. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols and 6S responsibilities. What's Needed? High school diploma or GED equivalent. At least 1 year of TIG welding experience with stainless steel. Experience in quality assurance of process piping or similar fields is preferred. Ability to learn navigation within operating systems to access drawings and instructions. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs daily and stand for extended periods. What's in it for me?
