As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.11 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur08:15 AM - 05:15 PMFri08:15 AM - 05:15 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public at a government location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate law enforcement and emergency personnel when needed. Prepare accurate reports, maintain required logs, and document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities in accordance with applicable policies. Minimum Requirements: Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree. Possess a concealed carry weapons permit. Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program, or equivalent. Possess an armed guard card or license. Possess a corrections officer license. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
