Job Description
The Armed Security Officer provides vigilant security coverage primarily during day shifts at a synagogue, ensuring the safety of the premises and its occupants. This role involves moderate interaction with the public and requires licensed firearm use as part of emergency preparedness. The officer conducts access control, responds to incidents, and handles emergencies with professionalism and composure.
Responsibilities
- Control access to the synagogue premises
- Respond promptly to security incidents
- Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- Maintain a visible security presence during assigned shifts
- Monitor facilities for potential security risks
- Interact appropriately with visitors and congregation members
- Carry and operate firearms following legal and company protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in security operations
- Possession of a valid SORA card
- Valid CCW permit for firearm carry
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in firearm handling and safety
- Strong attention to detail
