Behavioral Health is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to work remote within North Dakota. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial accuracy and integrity of our revenue cycle. You will be responsible for timely and accurate posting of insurance and client payments, adjustments, and transfers. You will reconcile payments against remittance advice, research discrepancies, and ensure accounts are ready for the next steps in billing and claims processes. Your work supports organizational financial health and contributes to a seamless client billing experience. To be successful in this position, you must have strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret payer rules and complex billing documentation. Your ability to collaborate with Claims Resolution and Integrity Specialists, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate payer specific posting rules will be essential. Strong communication skills are required as you will respond to inquiries from clients, payers, and internal teams. You must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment while upholding confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance standards To be considered for the Accounts Receivable Specialist position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in payment posting or accounts receivable within a healthcare or medical billing environment. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with standard A/R practices, experience with medical billing software, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel). Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and solid time management abilities are required. Location This position may work from home anywhere in North Dakota with the ability and willingness to travel for meetings and site visits as needed.
