Coil Winder Machine Operator
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Position Summary:
A Coil Winder is responsible for winding wire coils used in transformers, motors, inductors, sensors, and other electronic assemblies. This role requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow technical drawings and specifications to produce high‑quality, consistent coils for production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coil Winding Operations: Set up and operate manual or automated coil‑winding machines to produce coils to exact specifications.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
- Wire Handling: Measure, cut, strip, and prepare magnet wire while maintaining insulation integrity.
- Quality Inspection: Inspect coils for uniformity, tension, turns count, and electrical continuity using meters and gauges.
- Machine Setup: Adjust machine settings such as tension, pitch, and speed based on coil requirements.
- Assembly Support: Assist in potting, taping, soldering, and integrating coils into larger assemblies.
- Documentation: Record production data, coil measurements, and quality results accurately.
- Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance on winding equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Follow ESD, equipment, and workplace safety procedures.
Preferred Experience:
- Transformer or Motor Manufacturing background.
- Soldering Skills (IPC standards a plus).
- ESD‑Safe Work Practices .
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Manual Dexterity and steady hand‑eye coordination.
- Technical Reading Skills for interpreting coil specifications.
- Experience with Winding Machines (manual, semi‑automatic, or CNC).
- Basic Electrical Knowledge, understanding inductance, turns count, and polarity.
- Measurement Tools, ability to use calipers, micrometers, and continuity testers.
- Attention to Detail, ability to maintain consistent coil quality.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
