What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff residents visitors and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures access-control policies and emergency response activities at a government juvenile services location.
• Monitor entry and exit points verify identification and authorization maintain visitor logs and direct individuals according to established facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents unauthorized access attempts and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points common areas exterior grounds and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities access-control events incidents and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccination requirements.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
