Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive client assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms and identify appropriate intervention strategies.

• Collaborate with clients in the development of customized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies, empowering them to actively engage in their recovery journey.

• Monitor clients’ progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting and refining treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Work in close cooperation with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to mental health care.

• Stay current with developments and research in the field of mood disorders to continuously enhance treatment methodologies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans in adherence to legal and ethical standards.

• Take part in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

• Advocate for client needs, contributing to the de-stigmatization of mood disorders and supporting mental health initiatives within the community.

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse range of clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant mental health field such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.

• Proficient in utilizing evidence-based treatment methodologies, particularly for mood disorders.

• Solid understanding of psychopharmacology and effective collaborative skills with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

• A proven history of successful outcomes in treating clients with mood disorders.

• Exceptional communication skills, demonstrating the ability to connect with clients from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

• Advanced clinical education, such as a master's or doctoral degree, is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
