Job Summary

As a Telemetry Technician, you will be responsible for observing, documenting, and interpreting cardiac rhythms accurately. You will operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment, respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, and maintain clear communication in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor patient cardiac rhythms and physiological parameters.
• Recognize and report rhythm abnormalities to the RN immediately.
• Operate telemetry monitoring equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient monitoring and communications.
• Handle office equipment and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Support team activities and foster a positive work environment.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Telemetry Technician or ECG interpretation course preferred.
• One to two years of experience in a patient care setting preferred.
• Telemetry Technician experience is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in ECG rhythm interpretation with the ability to pass certification exams.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
