Locum - Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine

Bon Secours - St. Mary's Hospital of Richmond is seeking a Locum Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist to provide coverage on various open dates including 05/08-05/15, 05/16-05/22, and 05/26-05/31. The practice setting includes both office and inpatient coverage, supporting a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. The provider will work alongside another Maternal Fetal Medicine physician, with support from a nurse practitioner, sonographer, genetic counselor, and front office staff. The role involves managing a high-risk pregnancy practice primarily focused on complex cases such as chromosomal abnormalities, congenital defects, growth restrictions, pre-eclampsia, and other maternal/fetal co-morbidities. Responsibilities include performing procedures like amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and cervical cerclage (preferred). The provider will utilize EPIC and Viewpoint EMR systems and work in an environment equipped with onsite ultrasound capabilities.

• Location: Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital (coverage at two sites)
• Average scheduled patients per day: 27
• Number of exam rooms: 3
• Support staff includes an RN clinic educator, sonographer, genetic counselor, and front office team
• Nursery level III, with an average of 5% low-risk and 95% high-risk pregnancies
• No onsite lab, but ultrasound is available
• No supervision of other healthcare providers required
• Credentialing estimated to take approximately 90 days
• Facility covers travel and accommodation costs, including flights, hotels, rental cars, and mileage at IRS rates
