TheCertifiedWeld Inspectoris responsible forensuring the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance of natural gas distribution pipeline construction, with a primary focus on weld inspection activitiesin accordance with49 CFR Part 192,applicable codes, and company procedures. This role supports field operations by verifying that all weldingand otherjoiningmethods, and installation practices meet required standards and are properly documented.

What you will do:

• Enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards across all project sitesin accordance withOSHA, PHMSA, state, local, and company requirements. • Perform visual inspection of pipeline welding activities to ensure compliance with49 CFR Part 192,applicableAWS standards,qualified welding procedures (WPS), and welder qualifications; verify proper fit-up, alignment, and overall weld quality. • Perform field observations/inspections of natural gas pipeline construction activities, includingexcavation,installation, welding/fusion, backfilling,and restoration. • Verify and document compliance through detailed daily reports, photos, and records using company-provided digital tools. • Read and interpret project plans, procedures, and specifications; track materials and quantities. • Coordinate with contractorsandclientsto support project execution, address concerns, andmaintainstrong working relationships. • Maintain strong organizational and time management skills while workingautonomouslyin the field. • Completetraining requirements, including Operator Qualifications(OQs),in a timely manner. • Identifyunsafe conditions,initiatestop workresponsibility asnecessary • Safely perform physical field duties, including navigating uneven terrain,safely accessingexcavations;and working outdoors in varyingweatherconditions. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Travelwill berequired(up to75% of the time)

What you will bring:

• Education:High school diploma or equivalent • AWS CWI certificationrequired. • API 1169 certification preferred • CIP/CPcertification preferred • Experience:2+yearsexperiencewithpipelineconstructionor 3+ years ofunderground utilityconstruction • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing. • Possession of a valid drivers license with a clean driving record and the ability tooperatea motor vehicle isrequired.

Compensation:

• Pay Range:$40-$45/hour • GSA Per Diem Rates forJob Site Location
