Essential Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk individuals. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines. Manage telephone triage with professionalism, offering reassurance, clear instructions, and education to patients.

2. Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery throughout patient visits by ensuring medical records are accurate and up to date. Prepare patients for examinations by collecting vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints. Monitor and communicate any abnormal findings to the physician, documenting all observations thoroughly. Confirm patient understanding of physician instructions upon discharge and accurately document billing information.

3. Support physicians during testing and treatment procedures, including applying splints and dressings. Manage medication samples and logs, coordinate necessary testing or admissions, and obtain referrals as needed. Assist with minor surgeries and physical exams, ensuring all consents are secured before invasive procedures or immunizations. Provide patient education materials and verify comprehension regarding treatments and medications. Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs.

4. Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring exam rooms are clean and orderly according to protocols. Sterilize instruments and verify equipment functionality.

5. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

1. High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. 2. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing program.
