Job Summary:
Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a dynamic operating room environment that upholds professional nursing standards and fosters relationship-based care. This role emphasizes best practices and exceptional customer service within acute care settings including surgery units, emergency departments, intensive care, and specialized procedural areas.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term objectives.
- Apply advanced clinical knowledge and technical skills to deliver high-quality patient care and make informed patient care assignments based on acuity and expertise.
- Engage in continuous learning and apply evidence-based practices to enhance workplace performance and patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with patients, families, healthcare providers, and colleagues.
- Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment by adhering to noise reduction protocols, privacy standards, and safety regulations including HIPAA and Just Culture principles.
- Participate actively in professional development, leadership opportunities, and nursing research initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and outstanding customer experiences.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent with at least five years of acute care nursing experience if from a non-accredited program.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
- Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications as required.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.
