RN - Acute Care Surgery Nurse
Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse specializing in acute surgical care within a supportive and patient-centered environment. This role emphasizes delivering compassionate nursing care guided by professional standards such as the ANA Code of Ethics and relevant nursing practice acts. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across various acute care departments including surgery, emergency, intensive care, and perioperative services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage time and resources to prioritize patient care and unit needs.
- Apply clinical expertise to assign patient care based on acuity and technical requirements.
- Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues, demonstrating respect, integrity, and empathy.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to safety protocols and reporting systems.
- Engage in continuous professional development through certifications, advanced education, and leadership opportunities.
- Participate actively in team collaboration, mentoring, and quality improvement initiatives.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent with substantial acute care experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; advanced degrees or accelerated programs are welcomed.
- Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the regional nursing board. This position offers night shift hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
