RN - Acute Care Medical Unit
Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a dynamic acute care medical unit located in the Midwest region of the United States. This role emphasizes best practices and exceptional customer service while upholding professional nursing standards. Responsibilities include managing time and resources efficiently, applying evidence-based practices, and collaborating with healthcare providers and patients to deliver high-quality care. The position requires excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, ensuring a therapeutic and safe environment. Key duties involve patient safety vigilance, participation in continuous education, and contributing to a culture of teamwork and leadership development.
Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred or must be obtained within five years of hire. Additional area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required and must be maintained.
Experience: Candidates graduating from non-accredited programs must have at least five years of acute care nursing experience or hold an advanced degree from an accredited institution.
Active Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice is mandatory. The role demands adherence to nursing ethics, regulatory standards, and participation in ongoing professional development and shared leadership opportunities. The work schedule is full-time day shift, averaging 36 hours weekly.
