Step into an impactful educational setting as part of a dedicated support team working alongside students with Autism Spectrum Disorder for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity is perfect for experienced paraprofessionals passionate about fostering positive academic and behavioral outcomes. You’ll serve as a strong behavioral paraeducator, supporting three students (two at the middle school level, one in high school) by creating inclusive, encouraging, and structured learning environments.

This role requires 35-40 hours weekly, and offers compensation between $20 and $25 per hour, based on skills and experience.

Key Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in a school setting as a paraprofessional, ideally with a behavioral focus
• Prior work supporting students diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
• Calm, patient demeanor and strong communication skills
• Ability to follow individualized education and behavior intervention plans
• Team player who collaborates effectively with educators, specialists, and support staff
• Must be reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality
• High school diploma or GED required; relevant college coursework/credentials preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to ASD students in middle and high school
• Implement behavioral strategies and follow prescribed plans for individualized student needs
• Assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom management
• Offer guidance, supervision, and encouragement in both academic and social settings
• Foster an environment of safety, acceptance, and respect for all learners
• Facilitate positive peer interactions and help students develop social skills
