Energy Project Estimator for AI Evaluation

Estimators apply hands-on energy project estimation, construction planning, and solar design expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and produce expert-level training data that improves AI understanding of project development workflows and cost estimation practices. This is a project-based, hourly contract role rather than a traditional full-time job, and prior AI experience is not required.

• Review and evaluate AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, completeness, and real-world applicability in energy projects.
• Produce expert training data derived from your experience with estimation, pre-construction planning, and solar system design.
• Provide detailed, actionable feedback to help AI systems better model cost estimation and project development workflows.
• Work independently and asynchronously with AI research teams, documenting examples and edge cases from actual project work.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in energy project estimation, pre-construction, or solar design.
• Relevant roles include Estimator, Project Engineer, Pre-construction Manager, Solar Design Engineer, or equivalent positions in the energy industry.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools: Bluebeam Revu, RSMeans, Aurora Solar.
• Strong written communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously.

• Location: Fully remote.
• Engagement: Part-time, hourly contract work.
• Schedule: Flexible, asynchronous schedule with no minimum hour requirement. When engaged on active projects, most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week.
• Project availability: Placement on projects depends on current needs. Candidates may be considered for future projects as they become available.

Paid hourly, Up to $85/hr (depending on the project).
