Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support our growing, multi-rooftop operation. This role is ideal for an experienced dealership accounting professional who brings precision, urgency, and ownership to their work and understands how AR directly impacts cash flow and financial performance.

The ideal candidate has a strong command of dealership accounts receivable processes, including manufacturer receivables, WebDealer activity, and timely reconciliation. Advanced proficiency in Excel, dealership DMS platforms, and manufacturer portals is required. Success in this role depends on the ability to prioritize deadlines, apply appropriate urgency, and communicate effectively across departments to resolve discrepancies and protect the business.

Role Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable & Collections

• Reconcile, deposit, and post daily payments across all departments
• Manage chargebacks, returns, bad checks, and file IRS Form 8300 as required
• Review and maintain assigned accounting schedules
• Approve fixed-operations credit overrides
• Communicate with vendors to ensure timely collection of receivables

Employee Prerequisites:

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred
• 3-5 years of dealership experience with strong accounting skills
• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, automotive DMS systems, Web Dealer, and OEM portals
• Ability to manage high call/email volume and multitask effectively
• Works well independently and in a team environment
• Flexible schedule, including closing periods
• Professional, dependable, and strong work ethic
