Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Position Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, safe, and cost-effective nursing care utilizing the nursing process. They coordinate and integrate patient care based on individual needs, ensuring safety, infection control, and risk management standards are met. The RN reviews orders and test results, documents care accurately in electronic health records, and directs multidisciplinary activities during robotic/minimally invasive surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities Function as circulating nurse and perform nursing techniques to ensure patient comfort and well-being. Assist anesthesiologists and surgeons, collaborating with team members to facilitate care. Order and be accountable for robotic/minimally invasive surgeries, serving as a resource for OR staff. Utilize evidence-based practice, adhere to safety standards, and follow the Florida Nurse Practice Act. Qualifications & Skills Graduate from an accredited nursing program. Minimum of two years OR experience with robotics/minimally invasive procedures. Current Florida RN license; BLS required; ACLS/PALS recommended. Knowledge of AORN standards; CNOR certification preferred. Additional Requirements: Demonstrate yearly competencies specific to the unit, maintain accountability for procedures, and participate in ongoing education.
