Program Director, Enterprise Transformation

Role Description

As a Program Director within Code and Theory’s Enterprise Experience Transformation (EXT) practice, you will be responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of co-developed, productized solutions—built by Code and Theory in collaboration with a major enterprise platform partner and designed to be taken to market and co-sold. You will oversee delivery across the full program (not tied to a single client account), coaching and mentoring a matrixed team of program/project managers and producers while partnering closely with strategy, creative, technology, and commercial leaders.

A great Program Director is both strategic and hands-on:

• Establish best practices, optimize workflows, build scalable processes, and maintain a clear pulse on program health across multiple workstreams.
• Empower delivery teams at every level, foster cross-discipline collaboration, and create operational clarity required to build, package, and operationalize solutions that can be repeatedly delivered.
• Balance ambition with fiscal responsibility—ensuring Code and Theory ships high-quality work efficiently and profitably, while supporting growth through scalable offerings.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own end-to-end program delivery across co-developed solution initiatives, building agility, rigor, and precision into execution.
• Operationalize productized solutions: partner with cross-functional leads to translate concepts into repeatable offerings (clear inputs/outputs, delivery approach, packaging), while keeping room for evolution.
• Manage multiple concurrent timelines and complex dependencies across disciplines, workstreams, and stakeholders - driving crisp plans, decision points, and escalation paths.
• Own day-to-day stakeholder alignment and expectation management: directly manage delivery expectations, tradeoffs, and timeline realities with client and partner stakeholders.
• Establish operating rhythms and governance across workstreams: intake, prioritization, approval paths, milestone plans, dependency management, and release readiness.
• Drive transparency and accountability through executive-ready reporting (progress, burn vs. budget, forecast, risks, gaps, blockers) and action-oriented remediation plans.
• Own scoping and financial performance: estimation, resourcing plans, burn management, forecasting, and change management to protect outcomes and margins.
• Partner with go-to-market stakeholders to ensure delivery is aligned to commercialization needs (readiness, enablement inputs, implementation considerations) and the expectations of a large enterprise sales organization.
• Collaborate with enterprise marketing technology stakeholders to ensure offerings are practical for real-world adoption within complex martech ecosystems.
• Lead and develop a matrixed team of PMs/producers, providing coaching, prioritization support, escalation management, and coverage planning.
• Collaborate with technical/platform stakeholders; familiarity with the Adobe ecosystem (e.g., AEM, Workfront, Adobe Experience Cloud) is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of program/project delivery leadership experience in a creative/digital agency, consultancy, or professional services environment.
• A proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional programs across scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality.
• Demonstrated strength managing multiple workstreams with significant dependencies - with the ability to maintain momentum, resolve constraints, and keep stakeholders aligned.
• Strong client management and communication skills: ability to set expectations, negotiate tradeoffs, and calmly lead through ambiguity while protecting delivery outcomes.
• Experience operating in ambiguous, build-and-launch environments where offerings are evolving and delivery must be structured without being rigid.
• Demonstrated comfort working adjacent to (or in partnership with) large enterprise sales organizations, supporting co-sell motions with delivery inputs such as packaging, readiness, implementation considerations, and value realization.
• Experience with enterprise marketing technology and digital experience platforms (e.g., CMS/DXP, marketing workflow tools, content supply chain, analytics/measurement); familiarity with the Adobe ecosystem is a strong plus.
• Industry exposure in high-tech and/or martech environments; experience delivering for regulated or high-scale enterprises is a plus.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including scoping/estimation, forecasting, and managing burn vs. budget.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including executive communication, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
• Comfort partnering with technical and product/platform leaders; ability to translate complexity into clear, actionable delivery plans.
• A leadership style rooted in ownership, humility, and mentorship, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Benefits

• The target range of base compensation for this role is $190,000 - $210,000.
• Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
