Your role will focus on providing direct and indirect speech-language services to students, particularly those with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) needs. Experience with AAC devices and a willingness to learn are highly valued as you support the diverse communication profiles of your caseload.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in California
• Prior experience in school-based settings, especially at the elementary level
• Familiarity with a variety of AAC devices and strategies
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, and enthusiasm for collaboration
• Ability to adapt to evolving caseloads and scheduling needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement therapy plans designed by supervising SLPs to address students’ individual goals
• Support and document progress for students, particularly those using AAC
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff
• Adjust to schedule changes as needed; hours may shift to 5.75 hours/day (28.75 hours/week) once an SLP is hired, with the possibility of increasing to 30 hours/week pending approval
• Engage actively in schoolwide initiatives and professional learning
