Step into a rewarding opportunity making a meaningful impact in elementary settings as a school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)! This contract position offers two openings, supporting young learners in a dynamic environment near Santa Ana, CA. You’ll collaborate closely with school staff and a speech coordinator to help students develop their communication skills—an essential foundation for success in and out of the classroom.

These roles initially offer 7-hour days (35 hours per week), but once an SLP is hired, you’ll transition to 5.75 hours per day (28.75 hours per week). There is also potential for hours to be adjusted to 30 per week, pending approval.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid California SLPA license required
• Prior experience in elementary school settings preferred
• Comfortable and confident working with students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt to caseload changes and work both independently and as part of a supportive team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
• Support students with AAC needs by implementing communication strategies and device usage
• Assist with documentation, progress monitoring, and communication with parents and staff
• Adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs in a school-based environment
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
