About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years of critical care experience preferred; strong candidates with less experience may be considered. License: Active RN license in hand at the time of submission; no exceptions. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) from an approved provider. Must-Have: Strong neuro critical care experience. Ventilator management. IV drip titration. Telemetry monitoring. Conscious sedation. Dysrhythmia recognition and management. Emergency response and critical care management. Description: Client is located in a beautiful coastal region. The area is an outdoor lover's paradise. It offers hiking trails for all experience levels and over 20 waterways to explore. The assignment includes an ICU RN position with an auto offer. The schedule includes 3 to 4 shifts of 12 hours. Every other weekend, floating, and holidays within the contract are required. Patient ratios typically follow a 1:2 or 1:3 configuration. Candidates must be willing to float to Stepdown Unit and other units to care for ICU patients being held. The patient population includes those with neurosurgical conditions, respiratory failure, renal failure, and trauma. Strong neuro experience is required. Candidates should be proficient in Epic charting system. A local nurse cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible for this position. Any prior license or background issues will disqualify applicants from consideration. Candidates should prepare for an EKG testing that is required for this role. Review of dysrhythmia management skills is essential. The tele test consists of rhythm interpretation and complex identification. Candidate skills should cover a range of critical care practices, including care for ventilated patients and IV management. Continuous learning and adherence to compliance requirements are expected.
