Shift Information

Shift: 19:00 - 07:00

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced professionals for a Rapid Response role with a focus on high-risk obstetrics in the Labor and Delivery/OBED unit. This assignment spans 6 weeks with a commitment of 48 hours per week.

Unit Information

Location: Women's Hospital, City, State

Unit Capacity: 23 beds

Staffing Model:

• Day Shift: 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 2 CSTs, 3 OR RNs, 1 Secretary
• Night Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 1 CST, 1 Secretary

Patient Ratios: 2:1

Equipment and Technology

The unit utilizes EMR systems including CPN and Meditech.

On-Call and Floating Requirements

• On-call requirement: 1 shift every 4 weeks
• Floating requirement within women's services: PP/Ante

Skills and Qualifications

Required Skills:

• 1 year of travel experience in high-risk OB/L&D
• NRP; Intermediate fetal monitoring
• ACLS, BLS certification

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in OBED
• High-risk/High-volume experience

Typical Procedures

Responsibilities include providing all high-risk OB care, managing magnesium and insulin drips, as well as circulating and scrubbing during procedures.
