Accounts Payable Specialist

Are you an accounting professional who enjoys accounts payable but is looking for an opportunity to expand your accounting knowledge and grow your career? We're partnering with a growing manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies and first aid products seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the AP process while gaining exposure to broader accounting responsibilities, month-end activities, and special projects that can support future career growth within the organization.
What You'll Be Doing... • Process accounts payable invoices, including inventory, freight, travel expenses, and other vendor payments • Prepare and manage weekly check runs while ensuring accuracy and timely payment processing • Enter, code, and reconcile travel and expense reports • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support month-end accounting activities • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax filings • Partner with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and support operational efficiency Here's What Your Work History Needs to Show as Evidence That You're the Right Candidate... • 3-5 years of accounting experience, including accounts payable processing • Experience managing vendor relationships and supporting high-volume AP workflows • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills • Experience working with ERP systems; SysPro experience is highly preferred • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams • Experience in payroll, purchasing, HR, or other accounting-related functions is a plus Additional Details Location: 100% onsite Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00AM-4:30PM Pay Rate: $28.00-$31.00 per hour DOE Employment Model: Direct Hire PACE Staffing Network is a woman-owned staffing company serving Washington employers for over 45 years.
