As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $24.53 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Tue: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Wed: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sun: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government facilities. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, and maintain awareness of personnel, vehicles, and deliveries entering or exiting the location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures. Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements. Minimum Requirements: Have at least two years of security-related experience. A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. A valid guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
