Per Diem Lung Acquisition Registered Nurse

UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Per Diem Lung Acquisition Registered Nurse to join our Transplant Services team. The focus is on the duties related to the lung transplant process and will include procurement call. Management for the designated transplant patient population includes independent patient assessment, triage, education, coordination of medical and nursing care, and documentation of care. Integral to the role is an understanding of the regulations and data requirements surrounding transplant care issued from the United Network of Organ Sharing and HRSA.

Responsible for the nursing care and coordination of the lung transplant patients. Nursing Process – Systematically assesses the need for and the delivery of nursing services that meet patient care requirements, whether delivered directly or by the other nursing staff.

Part Time / Per Diem Variable Day shifts Eight or Ten Hour Shifts

Two years of professional nursing experience, including clinical nursing expertise in lung transplant patient care. Prefer skills in transplant coordination/United Network of Organ Sharing and BSN.
