Responsibilities

– Draw blood samples from patients across all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established safety and procedural standards – Prepare laboratory specimens for testing, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and documentation – Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen collection and processing – Create a professional and trusting environment by clearly explaining procedures to patients – Follow safety protocols and uphold confidentiality at all times – Perform specimen processing duties with confidence, adhering to clinic policies and procedures – Collaborate with team members and supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations and process excellence – Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment for patients and staff

Required Skills

– Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric blood draws – Strong customer service skills to create a positive experience for patients – Ability to perform error-free work in a fast-paced environment – Keyboard and data entry proficiency to maintain accurate records – Ability to work independently with minimal supervision – Reliable transportation to and from the worksite – Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed

Additional Skills & Requirements

– High school diploma or equivalent required – Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in certain states (California, Nevada, Washington) – Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience is required; one or more years preferred – Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus – Must list current home city and commute time to the job site on your resume (within 20-25 minutes preferred) – Candidate must demonstrate dependability with punctuality and attendance – Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate organizational commitment – Previous customer service experience in retail or service environment is preferred
