Job Summary: 

The Facility Manager handles the home’s daily operations, including program planning, grievances, supervision of Direct Care Staff, transportation, and any other duties while the Administrator is not present on the premises. 

Education and Experience:

Have a Bachelor of Science or Arts degree.

Two years of full-time experience, or equivalent, working with youth, or equivalent education or experience as determined by the CDSS, or 

Two years’ experience as a member of the staff in a STRTP performing those duties.

Additional Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must clear a CCL, DOJ, and FBI fingerprint criminal background check

Must pass a health screening which includes a current TB Test.

Must have a valid California Driver License and be insurable under the Agency Insurance carrier

Responsibilities:

• Support the Administrator in the day-to-day operations of the facility assigned. 
• Apply the “Reasonable and Prudent Parenting Standard” to decisions involving the participation of youth in age or developmentally activities in accordance with rules, laws, and policies and procedures when the Administrator is not present.
• Train, support and in collaboration with the Administrator, guide and direct the care staff to ensure appropriate care and supervision is delivered to all assigned youth in 
• Directly supervise youth as assigned.
• Oversee the daily schedule of activities. 
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures by self all direct care staff in the assigned facility.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
• Report to the Administrator and make recommendations for continuous quality improvements. 
• All other duties as assigned by the Administrator.

STEPSS Residential Facility for Youth is seeking highly qualified staff who are experienced in the care and supervision of children in a therapeutic setting. STEPSS which stands for Seeking To Empower and Promote Self-Sufficiency, is a Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) six-bed facility that serves girls ages (6-12). STEPSS operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the city of Hemet. There are multiple shifts available. STEPSS offers competitive salaries which exceed the current market rates.
