Room Attendant - Mountain Shadows

Mountain Shadows Resort Welcome to Mountain Shadows Resort, a tranquil oasis in the heart of Scottsdale, Arizona, part of the Pyramid Global Hospitality portfolio. The resort features 217 guest rooms and 7,500 sq ft of meeting space across 11 versatile rooms. Responsibilities Follow payroll and key sign‑out procedures. Clean mirrors, furniture, ash urns, elevators, doors and mop all tiled floors. Inventory and maintain the cleanliness of all linen closets and empty trash. Work with other staff to follow a definite cleaning schedule. Follow instructions and training given by supervisor. Be cooperative, receptive to changes and helpful hints. Turn over lost and found articles to the supervisor or Director of Housekeeping. Spot‑clean furniture and carpets as instructed. Obtain work reports from supervisor at the start of the day and load cart with needed supplies. Assist in moving beds and furniture as requested. Offer assistance to guests when requested or needed. Report any maintenance deficiencies to Housekeeping. Follow the Housekeeping supervisor’s schedule: clean O/C rooms first, prepare due‑in rooms, clean C/O rooms, and cleanse all occupied rooms by 5pm. Ensure all bathrooms and beds are cleaned in rooms. Vacuum all rooms daily. When no housepersons are present, sweep patio, wipe down patio furniture, front door and light fixtures. Dust all light bulbs with a dry rag. Report rooms that are occupied or in use and not listed on reports to the supervisor immediately. Offer assistance to another employee if your section is finished first. Clean cart at day end and stock for the next day. Use equipment and supplies properly and maintain them. Respond properly to any hotel emergency or safety situation. Complete any project assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of Housekeeping. Qualifications Prior hotel experience preferred. Knowledge of occupational safety and health practices, including wearing personal protective equipment when required. Physical Demands Ability to stand, sit, kneel continuously at a job site. Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, and walk for extended periods. Ability to push, pull or lift heavy loads up to 50lbs and heavy furniture up to 100lbs. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions—hot, cold, or wet. Hearing and visual ability to observe and anticipate guest needs. Physical strength and dexterity to perform job duties. Appearance Requirements Proper professional attire in accordance with the Employee Handbook. Neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times. Badge and proper uniform must be worn at all times.
