Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Special Education Teacher certification (state licensure required)
- Previous experience working with high school students in special education settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Organizational skills to manage case files and adapt lesson plans as needed
- Ability to build trusting relationships with students, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to high school students with varying needs
- Develop, maintain, and monitor IEPs, reporting progress toward goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers and administrators
- Engage with families to foster open communication and student success
- Participate in team meetings and professional development
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district guidelines
