Forklift Operator

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to oversee automated packing, sewing, and palletizing machines. The role involves cleaning and maintaining mill equipment, assisting with mill upkeep, and loading and unloading trailers with both bagged and bulk products. You will also be responsible for completing various documentation to meet record-keeping requirements, collecting samples of finished products, assisting customers with pick-up orders, and operating a sit-down forklift or pallet jack as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee automated packing, sewing, and palletizing equipment.
• Clean and maintain mill equipment.
• Assist with mill cleaning and upkeep.
• Load and unload trailers with bagged and bulk products.
• Complete documentation to meet record-keeping requirements.
• Collect samples of finished products at processing points.
• Assist customers with pick-up orders.
• Operate sit-down forklift/pallet jack to move and load/unload skids and bulk items.
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment

The work is based in a flour mill that produces for various manufacturers. This environment is very dusty and loud. Candidates will be working at different levels of the building and using catwalks and stairs to access different parts of the plant. Some tasks may be performed three stories up on a catwalk, so comfort with working at heights is necessary.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lititz, PA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
