Location: Little Rock AFB, AR, US (Various Locations, assigned upon hire based on preference) Clearance: Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one Job Overview NOVA Technologies is looking for Pilot Instructor positions for upcoming government programs. The role involves delivering flight instruction, ground training, and simulator sessions while contributing to curriculum development and maintaining safety protocols. Job Duties Deliver high‑quality flight instruction to aspiring pilots, including ground school, simulator sessions and actual flight hours, adhering to curriculum guidelines and safety protocols. Provide training for Visual Threat Recognition Avoidance Training (VTRAT). Provide Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Instrument Refresher Course (IRC) training. Instill a strong culture of safety by communicating safety procedures, risk management strategies and emergency response protocols. Collaborate with curriculum development teams to create and refine training materials, flight plans and course content to meet regulatory requirements and industry standards. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of trainees' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development. Stay current with aviation regulations, policies and procedures, ensuring all training activities align with applicable standards. Assist with maintenance of training aircraft, simulators and other equipment to ensure optimal condition for training sessions. Maintain accurate records of trainee progress, training hours and administrative tasks per company policies and government regulations. Foster effective communication with trainees, fellow instructors and supervisory personnel. Conduct ground training for other crewmembers, including diagnosis and remediation of student issues. Assist in project and development work as assigned. Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, record‑keeping, monitoring student progress, counseling, quality assurance, safety, security and maintenance of training programs and equipment. Qualifications Prior experience delivering military pilot academics and simulator training, familiar with current instructional techniques and delivery methods. Bachelor’s Degree. Recent experience as an Instructor Pilot or Evaluator Pilot. Expertise with Common Immersive Theater Environment (XCITE). Completion of a formal USAF Instructor training course. Recent National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM) related security management experience. Experience with the Computer‑Aided Assessment System. Knowledge of the Visual Threat Recognition Avoidance Trainer (VTRAT). Eligibility for DoD Personnel Security Clearance. Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex aviation concepts to diverse audiences. Collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively within a team of aviation professionals. Deep commitment to safety and a track record of adhering to strict safety protocols. Proficiency in demonstrating, evaluating, diagnosing and critiquing student performance; identifying learning difficulties; prescribing remedial instruction. Physical ability to enter a simulator, experience simulator motion and maintain safety awareness when on board. Adaptability to changing training needs, technology and regulations within the aviation industry. Proficiency in aviation training software, flight simulators and related technology.
