Software Test Engineer II

Medtronic seeks a Software Test Engineer II for the Affera Mapping and Ablation System team, responsible for testing and quality assurance of cardiac ablation medical devices. The role involves manual and automated testing, test plan development, and collaboration with engineering teams at locations in Minnesota or Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Test functionality and performance of systems software for cardiac mapping and ablation devices
- Develop and execute manual test plans and scripts to identify defects
- Ensure software meets technical and functional requirements
- Perform workflow analysis, document results, and recommend quality improvements
- Collaborate with engineers to resolve defects and improve product configuration
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years relevant experience, or Master's degree
- Understanding of test protocols for verifying software requirements
- Experience with test case management tools (Polarion, TFS, TestRail, JAMA, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple hardware and software configurations
- Knowledge of medical product verification, IEC-62304, and FDA guidance preferred
- Proficiency in Python, C++, C#, or similar programming languages preferred
- Minimum 2 years software verification experience preferred
