Job DescriptionDewberry is seeking a Senior StructuresEngineer in our Orlando, FL office to grow and strengthen our transportation design practice. The successful candidate will design minor and major bridges and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, sign structures and other miscellaneous structures). Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.ResponsibilitiesPerform structural analysis and develop structures designs, construction plans, cost estimates, reports, and technical specificationsReview and coordinate structures plans prepared by other Consultants as part of Dewberry’s CFX GEC contractCoordinate with contractors, perform bridge inspections, and develop solutions to issues that arise during the construction of various types of structuresCollaborate with other Transportation Discipline Leads and Project ManagersAssign tasks and provide technical assistance to less-experienced Structures EngineersAssist with the preparation of project schedules and budgetsPrepare marketing materials and serve as Structures Lead during project pursuit presentationsPerform QC reviews of design calculations, documents, and plansRequired Skills & Required ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline15+ years of experience working on bridge transportation projectsFL PE license or ability to obtain within 1 yearStrong oral and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsStrong desire to be a key contributor in an outstanding team of industry-leading professionalsJoin Dewberry and be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to making a positive impact on the communities we serve.
