The Supervisor, Warehouse oversees warehouse operations at a company location working closely with the Branch Manager, which includes receiving, stocking, and shipping as well as directly managing the warehouse team while ensuring a safe and efficient warehouse.

This position will serve our 2J Supply Division, located in Dayton, OH. This is an on-site position.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee warehouse and delivery operations to deliver outstanding customer service and employee safety
• Work closely with the Branch Manager to ensure consistency in branch culture and communication
• Recruit and onboard new hires with the support of the Human Resources team
• Train and mentor team to support ongoing development and growth
• Oversee the cycle counting process at the location ensuring completion and accuracy
• Maintain physical facility to ensure safety, protect against loss, and represent a professional company image
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures
• Manage branch inventory levels by working with other 2J Supply locations and the Purchasing team
• Assist in developing and maintaining a budget for company location
• May be required to perform the various warehousing and delivery tactical roles when needed
• All other duties and project work as assigned

Qualifications

• 5+ years of a strong background in warehouse operations, delivery, shipping and receiving, and inventory required
• HVAC industry experience a plus, but not required
• Warehouse management experience preferred
• Associate or bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
• Must be able to work independently with minimal direction
• Ability to delegate tasks when necessary
• Good judgment and decision-making skills
• Willingness to work with customers, contractors, and employees in a professional manner
• Excellent people management skills, including employee and customer relations, recruiting, training, and development
• Great communication skills with the ability and desire to influence and lead a team
• High level of organization and follow through
• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Willingness to own and lead projects
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card)
