Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor position is responsible for the efficient coordination of team members aiming to maintain the efficiency of receiving, storing, testing, inventory and shipping products in a continuous improvement-based environment, while also creating and maintaining a safe work environment. This is to be accomplished through directing and monitoring the activities of employees; effective leadership, coaching and development of individuals; and through building team dynamics targeting receiving, storing, testing, inventory and shipping techniques.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising and monitoring the activities of employees working in all Manufacturing Warehouse Areas
• Ensuring that behaviors, practices and the work environment support a safe workplace by enforcing safety and sanitation rules and principles
• Ensuring and monitoring receiving, storage and distribution efficiency
• Utilizing metrics/data to evaluate and improve Receiving, Storage and Distribution methods/standards
• Inspecting Receiving and Material Storage processes to detect defects or malfunctions
• Developing and implementing receiving, storing, inventory and distribution improvement plans
• Planning and establishing work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet performance standards
• Translating schedules to receiving, storing, and distribution requirements
• Utilizing standard work processes to ensure repeatable performance
• Monitoring goals and levels to make sure they are consistent with performance standards
• Conferring with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
• Tracking employees' work performance and attendance to ensure performance metrics are met
• Directing employees involved in the receiving, material storage, inventory and distributing processes
• Recognizing what to do in the event of an injury or incident
• Planning, developing, and implementing warehouse safety and security programs and activities

Qualifications:

• 4-year degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a warehouse management or supervision role, preferably in the food processing industry
