Job Description

SELECT ACCOUNTS offers a broad array of competitive products and coverages that provide value and flexibility. The core product, the Business Owner's Policy (BOP), provides property and liability coverage for small businesses of all type. The Account Executive (AE) partners with agents to provide property, liability, commercial auto, workers’ compensation, and umbrella coverage for new business based on customers’ needs.

Opportunity

The Account Executive will manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities include underwriting and negotiating property and casualty accounts; determining appropriate risk analysis; preserving underwriting quality and profitability; cultivating relationships with internal and external partners; meeting agents and brokers to market and sell products; partnering with Sales Executives to identify and write new business opportunities; and collaborating with underwriting leadership. The role requires frequent travel to meet with external partners.

Compensation

Annual base salary range: $85,600.00 – $141,200.00. The exact salary will be determined by scope, complexity, location, skills, education, training, credentials and experience. Employees may also receive performance‑based cash incentive awards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three to five years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• Three to five years of underwriting, claim, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience.
• Knowledge of commercial lines products.
• Strong critical‑thinking skills and ability to identify and solve underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation preferred.
