The CNC Programmer will be trained into the department lead role and will be responsible for creating programs to be ran in our CNC mills and lathes that produce parts of the highest quality, to specification while keeping cycle time at a minimum. Additionally, responsible for the basic upkeep and corrections to existing programs residing either in the machine controls or on our server drive storage. Will be the lead of a team of operators and responsible for communicating the status of machine shop workflow and progress, as well as ensure a safe working environment. Also responsible for general programming and maintenance of computer numeric controlled production equipment as required. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Will work with your team and other leads to ensure that production schedules are met. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with blueprints. Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications. Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality. Consider tools, cutting rates and strategies required to cut materials and program machines accordingly.

Qualifications for CNC Software Programmer

• Preferred 2+ years previous experience as full time CNC Programmer.
• Preferred 2+ years previous experience working in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with Mastercam a plus
• Experience with Solid Works a plus
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Able to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise.
• Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential.
• Should have a positive and professional attitude.
• Available to work overtime.
• Ability to lift to 25-50 pounds for short periods of time.

WORKING HOURS

· Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Fridays may be required on an as needed basis.

• Salary range is annually $70k-$90k. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
• • 1-2 years entry level at $70k-$80k (Dependent upon exp.)
  • 3-5 years’ experience at $80k-$90k (Dependent upon exp.)
  • Senior level software programmer - negotiable (Dependent upon exp.)
