$200K–$275K OTE, 80/20 split, uncapped commission About our client Our client is a fast-growing AI infrastructure company building open-source developer tools for LLM applications. Their platform lets developers call 100+ LLM APIs through a unified OpenAI-compatible interface, helping engineering teams manage model routing, reliability, provider flexibility, and API usage across different LLM providers. They are already used by major technical organizations, have crossed $10M+ ARR, and are meaningfully profitable. About the role Own the technical side of the enterprise sales process. Run demos, lead discovery, answer architecture questions, and handle technical objections. Work directly with engineering and developer buyers. Partner with sales to help move deals from first call to close. Provide light post-sales architecture / setup guidance when needed. Surface customer feedback and deal blockers to Product and Engineering. Build repeatable demo flows, technical sales assets, and internal enablement. What we’re looking for 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role: Solutions Architect Solutions Engineer Sales Engineer Technical Consultant Experience demoing technical products to engineering, developer, infrastructure, data, or cloud buyers. Strong pre-sales experience with devtools, cloud infrastructure, observability, data platforms, API products, or AI infrastructure. Comfortable running multiple customer calls and demos per day. Technical enough to discuss architecture, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and implementation tradeoffs without constant engineering support. Strong communicator who enjoys customer-facing work. Comfortable in a scrappy, high-growth startup with limited structure. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred; CS or engineering background is a plus. Technical background Python proficiency strongly preferred. Experience with APIs, cloud platforms, distributed systems, data infrastructure, or developer tooling. Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure, LLM APIs, model routing, observability, or cloud deployment is a plus. Rust experience is a plus, but not required. Relevant backgrounds include AWS, GCP, Azure, Datadog, Snowflake, Twilio, Databricks, observability tools, devtools, API platforms, or AI infrastructure companies. Strong candidate profiles Solutions Engineers / Architects from devtools, cloud, data, observability, infrastructure, or API companies. Sales Engineers who have sold technical products to engineering teams. Technical consultants who have run enterprise demos, architecture workshops, and pre-sales evaluations. Former engineers who have successfully moved into customer-facing technical sales. Startup operators who enjoy ambiguity, speed, and high ownership. Not a fit Pure software engineers with no real customer-facing or sales experience. FDEs who have not owned demos, discovery, or pre-sales conversations. Candidates who only want deep implementation work. Candidates who dislike repetitive customer calls or sales demos.People who need heavy structure, mature enablement, or a large support team.
