Lock Desk Analyst

Review and process rate lock requests through lock desk email and phone, including original rate locks, floats, re-locks, extensions, and cancellations Monitor loan criteria changes and determine whether lock adjustments are required Communicate lock confirmations in a timely manner Re-confirm previous-day locks to ensure accurate pricing Commit and register loans with investors Monitor outstanding commitments and expiration dates Enforce secondary market lock policies Assist with duties assigned by the VP, Secondary Marketing Perform additional related duties as assigned to meet organizational needs Requirements 2+ years’ experience in a high-volume mortgage setting Proficiency in loan origination systems and proprietary mortgage-related software platforms Ability to interpret mortgage loan rate sheets, add-ons, and product guidelines Knowledge and responsibility for compliance with state and federal mortgage loan origination and fulfillment regulations Strong mathematical skills Working knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, Non-QM, DPA, HELOC, and CES loan programs/products Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to work up to 50 hours per week, including some weekend hours Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and as part of a team Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and manage multiple deadlines Strong problem-solving and creative-thinking skills Ability to learn and adapt to guideline changes Strong organization, follow-through, and time-management skills Excellent attention to detail with commitment to accuracy and quality Dependable, responsible, and able to use good judgment Bachelor’s degree preferred Previous experience with Byte, Optimal Blue, and/or Compass preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates proficiency in loan origination systems and mortgage-related software, with a strong understanding of compliance regulations and mortgage loan products.
