Senior Business Systems Analyst, Vice President

Who we are looking forThe post-trade Straight-Through Processing (STP) team is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with financial services background to design and manage software projects critical to our client’s real-time transaction processing needs. The right individual will leverage their analytical and technical skills to quickly familiarize themselves with our environment, manage the delivery of business-oriented functional enhancements and architect technical platform transformation for a leading investment manager.What you will be responsible forAs a Senior Business Systems Analyst you willUnderstand complex end-to-end transaction processing flows through multiple applications across a broad range of financial asset classes.Manage projects on a monthly software release cycle with minimal supervision.Coordinate the gathering of business requirements between project managers, business users, and developer teams.Define use cases, functional specifications, and test cases. Ensure test coverage and complete documentation for each software release.Meet with client senior managers, present business solutions, set up/optimize business processes. Be available for release weekend support and overnight production support on a rotational basis.What we valueThese skills will help you succeed in this roleStrong understanding of SDLC process and project methodologies (Agile/Scrum).Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.Ability to independently perform data analysis, derive field mappings and transformations, and design business solutions in software.Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously across different teams.Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with team members and stakeholders in multiple locations.Aptitude for learning new things and flexibility to adapt and follow guidelines.Education & Preferred Qualifications7+ years of experience in the Capital Markets domain, with an Asset Management or Investment Banking organization, is strongly preferred.Hands-on knowledge of relational databases/SQL (Sybase preferred).Understanding of post-trade processing and the trade life cycle for various financial instruments, including: fixed income, equity, foreign exchange, derivatives, and financing trades (repurchase agreements).Experience testing software designed for elaborate business scenarios.Experience with production support / issue triageExperience with Jira, Agile boards is a plus.Understanding of XML, including creating XSD, is a plus.Salary Range: $120,000 - $195,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
